Interview in a fish market, now I use their numbering trick

Went to Portland last month for a job interview at a seafood distributor. The hiring manager took me on a walkthrough and they use this color coded bin system, red for fresh, blue for frozen, yellow for 'sell ASAP'. Somehow we got to talking about how it maps to prioritizing project tasks. I literally wrote the same thing on sticky notes at my desk the next day. Has anyone else picked up a totally random system from an unexpected place and used it at work?

Color coded bins is genius. Straight to the point. No confusing spreadsheets. Sticky notes work exactly the same way. Red means do it now, blue means later, yellow means figure it out before it rots. Simple wins every time.
