Just hit 90 days of logging every job app in a spreadsheet, and the number that jumped out was 14
I sent 14 applications before I got my first real callback, which sounds bad until I looked back and saw only 3 of them were jobs I actually wanted, so now I only apply when I'd be happy to get it.
That bit about only 3 being jobs you actually wanted really hits. I read somewhere that most people spend like 80% of their job search on stuff they don't even care about, and then wonder why it feels so draining.
