Question about using photography to spot work mistakes
I picked up photography as a weekend thing to relax. Getting the right frame means you have to notice every little part of the scene. I started doing the same when I look over my work reports now. For example, I check numbers and dates like I check focus and lighting in a photo. It helps me catch errors I used to miss all the time. Isn't it wild how a simple hobby can tune up your job skills?

Totally get what you mean about focusing on one thing sharpening your eye, @masonwilson. My hobby of fixing up old game consoles trained me to spot tiny details at work I'd normally gloss over.

That part about a hobby tuning up your job skills is so true. I've had that happen with other stuff too. It's cool how focusing on one thing can sharpen your eye for everything else.

Yeah, that "sharpening your eye for everything else" part hits home. I got into fixing up old bikes a while back. You start noticing how a tiny wobble in a wheel or a slightly loose bolt changes the whole ride. Now I catch those same small, off-balance details in other projects without even trying. It's like your brain gets a new setting.
