Spent $75 on a mock interview service and it was worth every penny
I had a big technical panel interview coming up last month and my nerves were shot, so I booked a 45 minute mock session with a senior engineer I found online. The guy tore apart my answers about system design and showed me how to structure my thoughts, which I never would have caught on my own. Has anyone else tried paid mock interviews, or do you prefer just practicing with friends?

Oh man, congrats on doing that! I did the same thing before my last loop and it was a total game changer. The guy I hired caught me rambling on behavioral questions and showed me how to wrap up my answers in like 30 seconds instead of 2 minutes. I also had no idea how to break down a vague product question, and he gave me this simple framework that made me sound way more put together. I tried practicing with a buddy before and it just turned into us nodding at each other, no real feedback. Honestly, spending the money felt weird at first but I walked into the real thing way calmer and it showed.
