I used to think pocket screws were just for quick fixes, but a builder in Boise changed my mind

He told me I was being stubborn for not using them on face frames, saying a glued and screwed joint is stronger than my old mortise and tenon for most cabinets. I tried it on a built-in bookcase project, and honestly, the speed without losing strength was a game changer. Anyone else switch up a method they swore by for years?

Just wait until you try them for attaching drawer fronts, total time saver.

Swear I held onto my dovetails like a security blanket for way too long. My grandpa would roll over in his grave if he saw me banging out drawers with pocket screws now. But man, you can't argue with getting a whole kitchen done in a weekend. Still feels like cheating though, ngl.
