Noticed a lot more guys using cordless track saws on site now compared to three years ago when I was mostly seeing them in shops.

They're a fixture in shops because they're cheap and reliable. The tech is basically solved at this point. You can get a better one online, but most people just grab what's on the shelf. It's the default option for a reason.
