Blew $300 on a power stretcher that left me limping for a week
Tbh I thought upgrading to a top end power stretcher would speed up my jobs, but it wrecked my back after two rooms. Ended up switching back to my old manual one for 80 bucks less pain. Anyone else had a fancy tool backfire on them?

Totally feel you on this one. Bought a top of the line laser level thinking it would change my life, ended up spending half a day calibrating it and still getting drift in the readings. Sometimes the old school stuff just works better, no shame in that. Hope your back heals up quick, man.

Stick with the cheap bubble levels for rough framing and save the laser for finish work where it actually matters. I've seen guys spend more time fighting a laser than they would have just using a string line and a torpedo level. Your back will thank you for taking breaks too, no tool is worth a slipped disc.
