DAE notice guys stretching carpet over tack strip without trimming the pad back first?
Saw two crews in the same week do this on jobs in Rochester, and both times the carpet bunched up along the walls within 48 hours. Pad needs to be cut back a good half inch from the tack strip so the carpet hooks down clean, that's just how it works. I've been at this 19 years and every callback like that traces back to the pad. Anybody else seeing this on other guys' work, or is it just my corner of the trade?
