Flipped my opinion on latex tackifier after a mess in Grand Rapids

I used to think latex tackifier was a waste of money and time. Never used it on any job for 8 years. But then I did a big living room in Grand Rapids with some tricky seams over a concrete slab, and the edges kept peeling up after a day. A veteran installer I was working with showed me how a single coat of the stuff fixed it flat and it hasn't budged in 6 months. Has anyone else had luck with it on problem floors?

... yeah but that one job doesn't prove it's not mostly snake oil for most situations. I've seen way more hacks use tackifier to hide bad prep work rather than actually solve a real problem. Six months ain't that long when you're betting on a product that's mostly just watered down glue.

Six months? Around here we call that a probationary period, not a success story.
