Hot take: pre-tacking pad vs. glue-down for stairs - which actually holds up longer?
I wasted $300 on pre-tacked pad on a set of stairs last year and they're already loose in spots. Should I have just gone glue-down from the start or is there a better method people are using?

Pre-tacked pad on stairs" - sounds like a fancy way of saying I wasted my own money too. I learned the hard way that glue-down is the only thing that keeps my clumsy self from pulling the carpet up with my toes.
