I finally bought a proper knee kicker for $120 after years of using a cheap one.
It made stretching the last few feet in a big room so much easier and saved my back. Anyone have a brand they swear by for long hallway jobs?

A good knee kicker is a game changer for sure. For long hallways, a power stretcher is the real answer though, it takes all the guesswork out of getting that tight stretch. You can rent them pretty cheap from most tool places if you don't do them often enough to buy. Makes those long runs feel like nothing compared to kicking the whole way.

Heard from a buddy who does commercial installs that power stretchers are the only way to go for anything over 12 feet. He said the key is getting the head jammed right against the baseboard so it doesn't slip when you crank it. I tried one on a rental once for a living room and it was night and day compared to the knee kicker, no sore knees the next day either. The trick he told me is to start in the middle of the room and work out to the walls, not from one end to the other like most people think. Makes sense because you're pulling tension evenly both ways instead of fighting yourself.
