Just spent 4 hours fighting a single seam sealer tube
Had this one tube of seam sealer that just would not flow right, kept clogging every 10 seconds. Took me forever to realize I forgot to cut the tip at an angle like the old guys always say. Anybody else ever waste a whole afternoon on something that dumb?

Man I've done that exact thing. Spent a good hour wondering why my caulk gun felt broken before realizing I was just an idiot who forgot to snip the tip.

The real pro move is forgetting to puncture the inner seal too.

lily97 nailed it with the inner seal trick. I once spent a solid 45 minutes pushing on a caulk tube like I was trying to squeeze blood from a stone before I realized I hadn't popped the seal. Felt like a real genius when I finally gave up and just stabbed it with a screwdriver. The tip angle thing is also classic. I've definitely had that moment where I'm cussing out the tube and then remember the old timers screaming about it for years. You'd think after the 50th tube you'd remember but nope.
