Paid $340 for a "premium" tack strip that snapped every 8 inches

Bought three boxes of these tack strips from a supplier in Fresno who swore up and down they were the same as what the big guys use. Got to the job Monday morning, started laying them along the wall, and every time I set a strip about 8 inches in it just cracked right in half. I figured maybe one bad box, opened the second one, same thing. Ended up driving 40 minutes each way to grab the brand I normally run and lost almost a full day on the install. The homeowner was cool about it but I ate the time and I'm out $340 since the supplier won't take them back. Anyone found a strip brand that actually holds up when you're stretching over concrete?
