Rant: I saw a guy in Tampa use a different seam roller and it blew my mind
I was helping a buddy on a big commercial job at the Tampa Convention Center last month, and this older installer from another crew had this heavy brass seam roller. He said he'd used it for 15 years. I always thought my plastic one was fine, but watching him press down, the seam just melted together perfectly. I bought one the next day and my last three seams have been invisible. Anyone else have a tool they switched to that made a huge difference?

Ever try a weighted roller?

Oh my goodness, weighted rollers bring back a memory. My cousin once bought one of those cheap plastic ones for her daughter's craft project, and it was supposed to be a decorative item. She hung it on the wall and it fell off in the middle of the night, cracked her nice tile floor. We still joke about it to this day. I wonder if the weighted ones are any more stable than the regular ones or just more of a hazard.
