Thought carpenters glue on the stairs was overkill until I did the one job in Tacoma
Laughed off the old timer who said a $9 bottle of glue would outlast the staples on 14 steps, then got the callback 8 months later with a squeak on step 3. Now I glue every tread and never hear about it again.
