Vent: laughed at my boss for buying a $400 carpet knee kicker, then my $60 one bent on a 12x15 Berber in Tacoma
Took me 2 hours of fighting wrinkles before I borrowed his and knocked out the whole room in 35 minutes, so now I'm eating crow and wondering if anyone else got humbled by a tool they swore was overpriced?
$400 still sounds like a lot for something you hit with your knee though. I get that it worked better, but a 12x15 Berber in Tacoma is not exactly the hardest stretch out there. I've seen guys power stretch everything with a cheap kicker and a good set of vice grips and never complain. Sounds less like the tool was magic and more like yours was just trash to begin with. There's a difference between a $60 kicker that's decent and a $60 kicker from the bottom of a bargain bin.
