My mate tried banning his own book once, ended up burning the pages himself.

I had a teacher do that with Fahrenheit 451. It makes you realize these books are warnings, not just stories.

Remember when we all thought book burning was just a story thing? @the_wesley, my dumb self was just happy I didn't have to read the whole book.
