Banned book club in my town got shut down, or did it?
Our little book club in Portland read 'Lolita' last month, and two members walked out saying it should stay banned everywhere. The rest of us thought the discussion was actually better because we had to defend why we read it at all. The library even refused to host our next meeting over the pick, which felt crazy since it's a classic. Does censorship make a work more interesting to you, or does it just poison the well for everyone?

The LIBRARY refused to host you guys? That's WILD, they're supposed to be the ones fighting for books, not banning them. Makes me want to read it even more just out of spite, honestly.
