Found out a Kurt Vonnegut book got pulled from my kid's school in Ohio, and the reason listed was wrong
Last week my daughter brought home a reading list from her 10th grade English class in Dublin, Ohio, and Slaughterhouse-Five was gone from it, even though it had been there in the fall. I emailed the district office and got back a note saying it was removed for 'language and adult content.' I actually read the book in college, and the famous part everyone fights about is the Tralfamadore stuff, not the swearing. Has anyone else run into a school listing a reason that doesn't match what is actually in the book?
