Realized my local library hides certain books in a back room
I went to my small town library in rural Indiana last month looking for a specific graphic novel about the Japanese American internment camps, and the librarian told me it was 'in storage' and I'd need to ask for it specifically. Turns out they keep about 30 books that some parents complained about in a locked closet, including several that are taught in AP history classes. Has anyone else run into this kind of quiet censorship at their local library?
