Saw a library in Seoul pull a graphic novel off the shelf between my two visits
I was in Seoul last spring and stopped by a public library where they had a whole display of translated graphic novels, including one about the Gwangju Uprising. When I went back 4 months later, that shelf was gone and the librarian just said it was "under review." Has anyone else seen a specific title vanish from a library between visits, and did you ever find out what triggered it?
Watched a friend go through this exact thing at her local branch in Portland. She kept checking out this one WWII memoir for her history class, then one day the whole section just had empty gaps where a bunch of titles used to be. She asked at the desk and got the same "under review" line. Turns out a couple parents had filed complaints about the war stuff being too graphic for teens. She never got a straight answer on whether they came back. Libraries pull stuff all the time and you usually never hear why.
