Warning: My dive into banned 80s cartoons on bootleg tapes was a real wake-up call

I always passed by those weird bootleg tapes at flea markets, figuring censored stuff was not worth my time. Then I got my hands on a copy of 'Heavy Metal' that was banned in a few countries back then. Watching it made me see why people fought to keep art free, and now I hunt for more like it. It's wild how you can just click and watch them online now, but holding that beat-up tape felt like uncovering a secret.

Have you ever found something that changed how you see old bans? I really feel your point about that tape being a secret. It's not just the cartoon, but what it means to dig up lost art. When people say it's trash, they don't get why it was hidden. Sometimes stuff gets banned just for being different or too honest. I look for these tapes too, and that hunt makes me feel part of keeping stories alive.

What's the most shocking banned cartoon you've found, @nguyen.piper?
