Finally found a way to see what Reddit removes in Germany without a VPN
I kept hitting that "this content is not available in your country" wall on about 20 threads last week, so instead of messing with a VPN I just threw the post URL into the Wayback Machine and grabbed an archived snapshot from before the takedown, which showed me the whole removed thread plus the mod comments.
Wayback only works if someone archived the page before it got nuked. For smaller subs or threads that blew up fast, there's often nothing saved at all, so you get a dead end. Also the archive can be weeks old, so you miss every edit and comment added after the snapshot. And for actual geo-blocks Reddit puts on legal stuff, the archive usually respects that too, so you just see the same wall. Better luck depends on the sub. Big political threads get archived fast. Random niche stuff, not so much.
