Got muted for a week on a woodworking forum after typing one word about saw blades
Last Tuesday I was on a woodworking forum answering a guy who asked why his table saw was burning through oak. I typed that he should check his blade for "kickback" and got muted for a week. Apparently that word sets off some spam filter they use, since it shows up in scam posts. I messaged the mods twice and got no reply. Has anyone else had a normal shop word trip an auto filter like that, and did the mods ever fix it?
Had the same thing happen with the word "jig" on a metalworking board, got silenced for three days because it got flagged as spam. I ended up finding an old thread where a mod posted their direct email, and a short message there got it sorted in about a day. The filter still trips on dumb stuff sometimes, so now I just check the mod list for a contact before posting anything.
