Dropped $60 on a proper chef's knife sharpener last week. Game changer.

Was using that pull through sharpener from the grocery store for years. My knives were never really sharp. Finally got a whetstone setup. First cut through a tomato was ridiculous. No crushing, just slicing. Felt like a pro for once. Anyone else put off upgrading a basic tool for way too long?

Isn't it funny how we'll put up with something frustrating for years just because it's "good enough"? I see this all the time with people and their everyday tools. We get used to something working poorly and just accept it, until one day we finally try the real deal. Then we wonder why we didn't do it sooner. It's like we forget that small upgrades in the right places can make a huge difference in how smoothly things go.
