The server who tried to send back a perfect steak

Had a customer at the grill station last Friday wave me over to complain about his ribeye - said it was 'too rare' when it was a perfect medium rare at 130 degrees. I asked him what he wanted and he goes 'well, can you just microwave it for 30 seconds?' Has anyone else gotten a request that made you just stand there for a second?

That 130 degree medium rare thing happens a lot now. People have gotten so used to fast food and chain restaurants where everything comes out the same temperature every time. They don't know what a real steak looks like anymore because they've never learned to cook one at home. It's like everything else in modern life, convenience and speed have replaced actual knowledge of how things are supposed to work.

Honestly it's just steak lol. People can call whatever they want medium rare and it doesn't hurt me none. Seems like a lot of energy to put into getting mad about how someone else eats their dinner.
