A customer in Tacoma told me my inspection camera work was too fast to be thorough, so I now add a mandatory 5-minute review pause before giving the all-clear.

What's a piece of tough feedback that actually improved your routine?

Was that really tough feedback or just a customer's wrong guess? The pause seems smart though, it forces you to double-check your own work.

Totally agree with that. Taking a second to check things over saved me from a dumb mistake last week. It's way better than rushing ahead and being wrong.

That pause just wastes time and makes you look unsure of your own skills.

You know, that "pause wastes time" idea never worked for me. I used to rush and it led to way more fixes later. Now I take that second to breathe and look at my code one more time. It actually saves a ton of time because I catch my own slip-ups before anyone else does.
