Dropped $300 on a top-of-the-line carbon fiber brush kit

Thought it would last forever and be way easier on my shoulders, but the bristles started shedding after two weeks on just three jobs. Has anyone else had luck with cheaper plastic brush sets or am I just unlucky?

Did you try returning them or just toss em?

Did you try rinsing them under hot water and giving em a little comb? That fixed my cheap plastic set for a bit... but then the handle cracked right in my hand on the fourth job, classic. I guess I'm just cursed with bad brush luck, spent half the savings on bandages and a new handle alone.
