Had a squirrel drop a full bag of walnuts on my head from a chimney in Boise
I was finishing a sweep on a big brick chimney last fall, and a squirrel had stashed its winter food right in the flue. When I poked the brush up, a canvas bag with about two dozen walnuts fell straight down and bonked my helmet. The homeowner just laughed and said, 'Guess he's charging you rent!' Now I always give a good tap and listen before I start the main brush work. Anyone else find a weird animal stash up there?

Man, that's a classic. I always figured animals just piled stuff loose up there. The idea of a proper bag changes everything. Now I'm wondering how many times I've just pushed a whole organized pantry into someone's fireplace without a second thought. That tap-and-listen move is going straight into my routine.

My buddy tried that tap move and ended up with a squirrel launching a full bag of acorns at his face.
