Hit 1,000 sweeps and I still skip the top cap check

Everyone I know swears by popping the cap off every single time, but after a thousand jobs in the PNW I only pull it when I see water stains or rust. The extra 15 minutes per call adds up to a full day of lost work a week. Anyone else find that cap check is overkill on newer installs, or am I just asking for a call back?
