So tired of seeing people skip the liner inspection
Was on a job last Tuesday in an old house off Burnham Road and the homeowner pointed out their "newly cleaned" chimney. Looked fine from the bottom but I popped my head up top and the clay liner was cracked in three spots. Who skips checking the liner after a cleaning? Has anyone else dealt with homeowners arguing that they don't need it inspected?

Show them the photos you took from the top before you even start talking - most people change their tune real quick when they see the actual damage.
