Spotted a crew using the wrong brush size on a creosote build-up job today
Saw a guy in Greenville tackling a 3/4 inch glaze with a 6 inch poly brush and it just smeared everything around. How do you guys handle folks who refuse to step down to a wire brush when the buildup is that bad?

Man, that sounds like a total mess to clean up after. So the real question is, did this guy actually think the bigger brush was saving him time, or was he just too lazy to swap out tools mid-job? I mean, a 6 inch poly on a 3/4 inch glaze is just asking for a streaky nightmare, and now someone else has to go back over it with a wire wheel or a grinder. Did you end up calling him out on it, or did you just let him smear it around and watch the clock tick?
