Switched from a standard brush to a poly brush for a 12x12 flue last month and the difference was insane

What kind of buildup were you dealing with that made the poly brush work so much better? I've got a 10x10 lined flue that gets a lot of creosote plates, and my steel brush just skates over them sometimes.
