That one Tuesday where everything just clicked
Last spring I had a Tuesday that started with a simple cleaning at a house on Maple Street and ended with me pulling 3 pounds of creosote out of a flue that hadn't been touched in 15 years. The homeowner was this old guy named Harold who just watched me work and kept saying "I knew it was bad but not that bad." I even found a bird's nest wedged up near the damper that had been there so long it was basically fossilized. Has anyone else had a day where you show up for an easy job and end up saving someone from a potential house fire?

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I thought I was just swapping out a power supply for a guy and accidentally fixed his whole network because I tripped over a loose cable that had been causing issues for months. I felt like a total idiot but also kind of a hero.

Wait, but if tripping over a cable fixed it, wouldn't that mean the cable was actually disconnected and you just re-seated it? That's not really a loose cable, that's more like you accidentally found the problem and solved it.
