Just passed 10k yuan in street food receipts, my wallet is crying

I track every Wangfujing snack bar and night market stall visit on a spreadsheet, and last week the total hit 10,432 yuan. That's like 60 different baozi, skewers, and stinky tofu runs over 4 months in Beijing. I knew I was eating out a lot but seeing that number made me realize small bites add up faster than a hotpot bill. Anyone else keep a food spend log, or am I the only one who multitasks their eating hobby with budgeting?

Read about street food vendors in Beijing calling themselves the last cheap meal in the city, and your spreadsheet kind of proves that point. A 15 yuan snack here and a 20 yuan skewer there adds up silently, way faster than one big sit-down dinner. Good on you for tracking it, most people just swipe their phone and forget until the month end statement hits.
