My neighbor's kid in Shanghai started talking about 'digital collectibles' from a museum app

I was picking up a package and heard him telling his mom he 'bought' a digital copy of a Tang Dynasty horse statue from the Shaanxi History Museum for about 10 yuan. He said it was from some official app and his whole class was into it. It made me stop and think about how fast these ideas spread now, even to young kids. Has anyone else seen this kind of thing take off with the younger crowd where you are?

@stone.jesse makes a fair point, but kids in Shanghai getting into museum apps is a good sign to me. Better than the usual screen time stuff.

Sounds like my nephew's whole deal too.

Sometimes we're quick to label normal kid stuff as a big problem. Could just be a phase or a personality thing. My cousin was convinced her son had some major issue, but he just needed less screen time and more sleep. Not every quirk needs a diagnosis. It's worth taking a step back before assuming the worst.
