PSA: wasted $60 on that 'authentic' Chinese tea set from a shop in Chinatown

Bought this fancy Yixing clay tea set from a little place on Mott Street in NYC last weekend... guy swore it was handmade and aged. Got it home and the lid doesn't even fit right, and the clay feels like cheap plastic. Anyone else get burned by tourist trap tea shops claiming they sell the real deal?
