Why does every Chinese electronics manual have to be 200 pages when 10 would do?

I spent 45 minutes trying to figure out how to pair my Bluetooth earbuds because the English translation in the manual told me to 'press the button until the light is harmonious' instead of just saying 'hold for 3 seconds until it flashes blue.'

Is a long manual really that big of a deal though? I mean, yeah the translation is funny but you probably had it paired in 10 minutes after you stopped reading and just tried stuff. Most people I know just toss the manual and figure it out, or watch a 2 minute YouTube video.

Man that's brutal but also hilarious, "harmonious light" sounds like something from a weird yoga retreat not a product manual. I once spent an hour trying to figure out why my rice cooker said "add water to the inner pot until it touches the pearly white line" and it turned out the line was barely visible under the plastic. I swear they hire poets to translate these things instead of anyone who's actually used the product. You're totally right that 190 pages of that nonsense is pure torture.
