My sibling's new electric car started a huge fight at Thanksgiving

My brother got an electric car last month. He brought it to Thanksgiving dinner. Our uncle laughed and said it's just for rich people. I told him that's not true and we need to cut emissions. Now everyone's picking sides. I think more families should talk about real climate steps, not just argue.

Feel like it gets blown out of proportion sometimes. People argue harder about EVs than they do about actual holiday plans.

Exactly. It's the same script every time. Someone brings up range, another person fires back about charging spots. Then the whole "but the grid" thing starts. It's not even about cars anymore, it's about picking a side. Just like arguing over stuffing recipes no one will change.
