Saw a community solar farm in rural Vermont that changed my mind on green energy

I was driving through Addison County last week and passed this 10 acre solar setup. It wasn't one of those huge corporate fields, it was split into smaller plots with wildflowers growing between the panels. I pulled over and talked to the guy managing it. He said the town bought it together and it covers power for about 300 homes. Has anyone else seen these smaller community solar projects popping up near you? I'm wondering if they're actually more effective than the big industrial ones.

Pulled over to check out a solar farm and ended up talking wildflowers with a manager, that's a pretty solid way to spend an afternoon. Guess the green energy pitch is getting better if it involves actual gardens.

Reminds me of the one near my folks' place... really makes sense for small towns.
