Always used to climb into the machine to check offsets until I got a better tool

For maybe 8 years I would literally lean into the spindle with a flashlight to check my Z offsets by eye. I figured it was just part of the job, you know, get up close and personal. But last spring I finally bought one of those cheap tool setters from Amazon for 40 bucks. Set it up once in the vise and now I can check everything from the screen without risking a bumped head. Has anyone else made the switch from eyeballing it to using a touch setter?
