Bought a $200 coolant mister for my old Bridgeport and it turned into a fountain
I was trying to cut some aluminum on my home shop mill and thought a Fogbuster system would be the fix. Hooked it up, turned the air on, and it just sprayed a perfect arc of coolant right over the machine and onto my workbench. My dog, who was napping nearby, got a free shower. Anyone have a good fix for a mister that mists a little too well?

Sounds like you bought the industrial model for watering your GARDEN. Been there, done that, got the wet t-shirt. On my first try I basically recreated the Bellagio fountains in my garage. The trick is turning the air pressure WAY down, like almost nothing. Then adjust the coolant knob just until you see a faint mist, not a jet stream. If that doesn't work, check if the little mixing nozzle inside is clogged or maybe even installed backwards.

Ngl I gotta disagree here. Running the air pressure way low kinda defeats the whole purpose of these misters. If you actually read the manual they want higher pressure for proper atomization, that's why they sell the expensive compressor kits. Your garage flood probably just means you had a loose fitting somewhere.

How do you even tell if the mixing nozzle is backwards?
