I thought tool presetters were a waste of money for our small shop

Our owner bought a basic presetter for about $3,500 last fall, and I was sure it was just going to collect dust. I argued we could set tools just fine in the machine. After using it for a job with 17 different tools, I saw our setup time drop by almost half on the first run. The debate I see is between the upfront cost and the time saved on every single job. For those in smaller shops, have you found presetters to be worth the floor space and investment?
