PSA: Driving to that regional machine shop tour fixed my feed rate headaches
Last week I visited a shop three states over that runs similar parts to ours. Their lead operator shared how they tweak feed rates for tool life, which I tried on my mill. What places have you gone to that gave you a solid shop tip?

Hold up, is tweaking feed rates really that life changing? (I mean sure it helps, but calling it a headache fix seems dramatic.) Seeing how @johnson.jade had their eyes opened makes me wonder if some shops just run things way wrong to begin with. It's basic tuning, not some secret magic. A good tip is just a good tip, not a miracle cure for everything running poorly. I'd guess your whole process needed work, not just one number.
