Went with the used 5-axis over the new 3-axis, here's the payoff

Last month I had to pick between a beat up 2019 Haas 5-axis for 38k or a brand new 3-axis for 41k. I figured I'd rather learn probing and tilt work than stay comfy, so I took the used one. First week was rough, tons of post processor issues, but after getting a Fusion 360 setup dialed in out of Austin, my cycle times dropped by a third on a housing job. Has anyone else gambled on older multi-axis gear and had it work out?
