Dropped $300 on a bootcamp that taught me what YouTube could for free
Signed up for a 12 week JavaScript bootcamp last January. Paid $300 up front thinking it would be structured and professional. Turned out the instructor just read slides from a free online course and gave us basic exercises. I learned more in three days following a free YouTube playlist from a guy named Brad. Has anyone else gotten burned by one of these beginner coding programs?

@the_tara honestly hit the nail on the head there. I dropped $200 on a "JavaScript mastery" course that turned out to be a guy reading straight from MDN docs, I could have just opened a browser tab for free. The worst part was when he paused for like 20 seconds to figure out his own example code on screen, super awkward. It reminded me of that time I paid for a "get rich with crypto" ebook that was just basic Google searches mashed together, you know? YouTube really does have everything now as long as you find the right channel, Brad from Traversy Media saved me so many hours. So yeah, I feel your pain (and your wallet's pain too).
