My cousin in Portland told me to learn Python first, and 3 months later I'm not so sure
Back in January my cousin who works at a startup in Portland told me to skip HTML and CSS and just learn Python because that's where the jobs are. So I did that for about 3 months, and I could write little scripts but I still had no idea how a website even worked. Then I tried building a simple page with just HTML and CSS and suddenly everything clicked, like I could actually see my code do something on screen. Now I'm wondering if he was right and I just need to stick with Python longer, or if starting with HTML and CSS is the better move for total beginners. What did you learn first and did it help or hold you back?
