Spent 2 weeks fighting a bug that was just a missing semicolon in line 47

I kept getting this weird error saying my function was undefined and I rewrote the whole thing 4 times before my friend looked at it for 10 seconds. Turns out on line 47 of my main.js I forgot a semicolon after a variable and JavaScript was just silently guessing where my code ended. The console kept pointing at line 62 which had nothing wrong with it, so I was chasing the wrong spot the whole time. Anyone else have a story where the error message sent you in a totally wrong direction?
