Found a roaster in Portland that actually weighs every shot
Watched the barista pull my 18g and scale it mid-pour, not after. First time someone treated the puck like it mattered, and the cup confirmed it. Anyone else have a spot that obsesses over the details like that?

My home setup weighs everything but then I forget to time the shot and end up with a cup that tastes like burnt regret. Been chasing that Portland level of care for years, still over here acting like my grinder is a suggestion box. Watching someone dial in properly feels like seeing a magic trick where the rabbit actually comes out alive. Maybe someday I'll graduate from eyeballing it, but until then I'll just keep drinking my chaos espresso and pretending it's art.
