Had to choose between a burr grinder and a blade grinder for my morning routine
Last month I finally decided to upgrade from my old Krups blade grinder that I'd been using for like 5 years. I was stuck between a $60 Capresso burr grinder and a $20 blade one. Went with the burr grinder because everyone online swore it made better coffee. First few mornings were rough, I kept overfilling it and making a mess on the counter. But after about a week I got the hang of it, and honestly the coffee does taste more consistent now. No more tiny chunks mixed with powder in my grounds. The burr grinder takes a bit longer too, maybe 30 seconds instead of 10, but that extra time is worth it for a cleaner cup. Anyone else made the switch and felt like it took forever to adjust?

Burr grinder is WORTH the learning curve, period.

Did you try weighing your beans before you grind? That fixed the mess issue for me, just measuring into the hopper makes a huge difference. Yeah it's slower, but I got used to it in a couple weeks and now I can't go back to the blade noise.
